We Were Not In the Market for a Spa Tub But it Was Included With the Deal

A while ago in the mid 1990s my better half and I were looking to buy our first residence as we had more energy than money, or so we imagined, we were searching to purchase a residence that was in need of a little TLC. We were living in a small apartment working the 9 to 5 job, I thought I a lot of extra of time to fix up a home while working as it turned out to this I would learn was completely wrong. When you live in an apartment and only work 5 days a week you do have a lot of spare time but as soon as you get your own house that requires a lot of work you soon come to the conclusion that you no longer have as much time as you thought.

In the back of our house was a rundown, slime covered piece of crap that was actually a hot tub. My wife and I decided that we needed to center on getting the renovations done to the inside of our house first before we started on the landscaping. Many times when I was working on the inside of the house the temperature would be in the mid-90s, no we did not have air conditioning. One night relaxing on the back patio as it was just too hot and humid to be working indoors, I was sitting there looking at that spa thinking why would I ever want a hot tub I cannot imagine soaking in a hot tub of water when it was over 90° in the shade. Then it came to me I did not have to have the tub full of hot water that tub can also hold refreshingly cool water.

After thinking about that epiphany for a a little bit I went over to the spa and found a drain plug and drained the green water out of it. I examined the pump and hoses they seemed okay. I got the garden hose out and began cleaning the inside of the tub, I was very stun at how quickly and how nicely it cleaned up. I added some hot tub chemicals that were left by the previous homeowner. In a matter of three quarters of an hour I had the Cedar hot tubs mostly cleaned out and was filling it with clean water, while it was filling up with water I took apart the filter and scrubbed the hot tub filter. Once there was an adequate amount water in the hot tub I turned on the filter pump and to my surprise to it began operating like it was brand-new. Well it did not take long before I was in that tub, yes the water was pretty cold straight out of the hose but by the next day the water was refreshing.
